Courseside Prize Draws — Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 21 July 2026. Version 2.

Part A sets out the rules that apply to every Courseside prize draw. Part B gives the details of the current draw — its prize, its value and its closing date — or states that no draw is open. Part C is the archive of draws that have closed, published so anyone can check how each one was run.

Part A — General rules

These apply to every Courseside prize draw.

A1. Promoter

The Promoter is Courseside Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17313359, registered office 27 Armitage Court, Ascot, SL5 9TA (the "Promoter").

A2. The prize

The prize for each draw, and its approximate retail value, is stated in Part B below. Where a prize is a gift card, voucher or ticket issued by a third party, it is subject to that issuer's own terms and conditions.

A3. Eligibility

Entry is open to residents of the United Kingdom aged 18 or over at the closing date. Entry is not currently open to residents of the Republic of Ireland.

The following are not eligible to enter:

A4. How to enter

No purchase is necessary to enter or to win.

To be entered into a draw you must (a) have opted in to Courseside prize draws — the tick-box offered when you join, which you can turn on or off at any time — and (b) complete the Collective survey specified for that draw in Part B, before the closing date. One completed survey by a member who has opted in counts as one entry. The survey is free to complete. Membership of the Collective is free and open to UK residents aged 18 or over, and you can be a member without entering any draw.

A5. One entry per person

A maximum of one entry per person per draw is permitted. Multiple submissions from the same person will be disqualified.

A6. Closing date

Each draw's closing date is stated in Part B below and in the survey email that opens it. Entries must be received by 23:59 (UK time) on that date. Late, incomplete or illegible entries will be discarded.

A7. Draw method

The winner will be selected at random from all valid entries using a verifiable random-number method seeded with an auditable seed recorded at the time of the draw. The Promoter will retain a written record of the seed and total entry count for six years and will share it with any entrant who asks. The seed and entry count for each closed draw are also published in Part C.

A8. Winner notification

The winner will be notified by email within 48 hours of the draw, with a follow-up by phone if no email reply is received within 7 days. The winner has 14 days from first notification to confirm acceptance. If no response is received within 14 days the prize is forfeited and a redraw will be held under the same rules.

A9. Prize use

The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. Where the prize is a gift card or voucher it is subject to the issuer's own terms, including any expiry date, and the winner is responsible for redeeming it within those terms. Where the prize is admission to a named fixture, it must be redeemed at that fixture.

The winner is responsible for travel to and from any racecourse and for behaving in line with that racecourse's terms of admission.

A10. Use of winner's name and image

With the winner's prior written consent (which the winner is free to refuse without forfeiting the prize) the Promoter may use the winner's first name, town, and a photograph of the winner attending a racecourse in Courseside reports, the Courseside newsletter, the Courseside website, and on Courseside social media accounts. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by emailing [email protected].

A11. Data protection

Personal data collected through entry is processed by the Promoter as data controller, for the purposes of administering the prize draw and the Collective membership. See the full Privacy Policy.

A12. General

The Promoter reserves the right to cancel, suspend or vary a draw, in whole or in part, where reasonably necessary (for example for legal, regulatory, technical, or availability reasons). Any change will be published on this page.

By entering, entrants confirm they accept these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Part B — The current draw

No draw is currently open.

The first Courseside prize draw will open at launch. It will be entered by completing the Entry Survey linked in the welcome email that every new member receives. When it opens, this section will state the prize, its approximate retail value, and the closing date — and the same details will be stated in the welcome email itself.

Intended first prize: one Jockey Club gift card to the value of £100, provided by the Promoter. Redeemable for admission or hospitality at any Jockey Club racecourse — including Cheltenham, Aintree, Epsom Downs, Newmarket, Sandown Park, Haydock Park and Kempton Park. Approximate retail value: £100.

Later draws will be entered by completing the quarterly Collective surveys sent to members.

The gift card is subject to The Jockey Club's own gift card terms, including its 24-month expiry. Courseside is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Jockey Club.

Part C — Past draws

Published so that any entrant can check how a draw was run. For each closed draw we publish the prize, the closing date, the total number of valid entries, and the random seed used to select the winner — the same record we keep for six years under A7. Winners are named by first name and region only, and only where they have consented.

No draws have closed yet. The result of the first draw will be published here.
